About the UK Irrigation Group - Our code of practice and set of professional standards

The UK Irrigation Group was formed by Life Irrigation, a leading UK irrigation company, as a voluntary code of practice in order to safeguard and to give a solid guarantee to its customers that any system that is installed by them complies with British Standards and is of a professional standard.

As there is growing competition and a large number of installers specifying different standards of work, it is vitally important that the end user will have reassurance that the system they purchased is regulated and properly installed, to last for many years. The client needs to have comfort that the installer is fully insured and capable of providing a suitable after care service, as well as providing the highest standard of installation

No sub contractors are used for installations and staff are fully trained in all aspects of irrigation equipment, tooling, machinery and health and safety. All members of the UK Irrigation Group are approved by Water Industry (WIAPS) and are members of UK Irrigation Association (UKIA). Membership of the UK Irrigation Group is open to all professional irrigation companies that are members of an irrigation association and approved by WIAPS. Member companies must have at least 5 years proven experience in installation of irrigation systems. Pipes and any other fitting or components must be BS approved, with MDPE pipes used being no less than 10 bars and buried at the correct depth. Systems are installed in a professional manner.
